Anti-SLC25A24 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 25 member 24. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 477 amino acid residues and a mass of 53.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in all tissues tested. A member of the Mitochondrial carrier (TC 2.A.29) protein family, SLC25A24 is reported to be an electroneutral antiporter that mediates the transport of adenyl nucleotides through the inner mitochondrial membrane. Synonyms for this target antigen include SCAMC-1, SCAMC1, mitochondrial adenyl nucleotide antiporter SLC25A24, ATP-Mg/P(i) co-transporter 1, and APC1. SLC25A24 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog, zebrafish and chicken species. Some SLC25A24 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
