Anti-MAD5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MAD5 is a known alias name of the protein MAX dimerization protein MGA, encoded by the MGA gene in humans. This 3065-amino acid residue protein is known to function as a dual-specificity transcription factor, regulating the expression of both MAX-network and T-box family target genes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for MAD5 include MXD5 and MAX gene-associated protein. Indicated applications for MAD5 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
