Anti-GUCY2A antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The GUCY2A antigen is another term for the human protein natriuretic peptide receptor 1, encoded by the NPR1 gene. The protein is a known receptor for the atrial natriuretic peptide NPPA/ANP and the brain natriuretic peptide NPPB/BNP which are potent vasoactive hormones playing a key role in cardiovascular homeostasis. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1061 residues and a mass of 118.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. The GUCY2A protein is a member of the Adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase protein family. Other alias names for GUCY2A include ANPRA, ANPa, and GUC2A. Indicated applications for GUCY2A antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
