Anti-TRIM44 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tripartite motif containing 44. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 344 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.5 kDa. It is reported to be highly expressed in the testis. TRIM44 is believed to play a role in the process of differentiation and maturation of neuronal cells (By similarity). The TRIM44 gene has been associated with the disease, Aniridia. Synonyms for this target antigen include DIPB, HSA249128, MC7, tripartite motif-containing protein 44, and AN3. TRIM44 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. A number of TRIM44 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
