Anti-SEC9 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SEC9 is a known alias name of the protein synaptosome associated protein 25, encoded by the SNAP25 gene in humans. This 206-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in chemical synaptic transmission and exocytosis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features palmitoylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the cerebellum and cerebral cortex. Other synonyms for SEC9 include CMS18, RIC-4, and RIC4. Some SEC9 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
