Anti-HAPIP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HAPIP is a known alias name of the protein APAF1 interacting protein, encoded by the APIP gene in humans. This 242-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the dehydration of methylthioribulose-1-phosphate (MTRu-1-P) into 2,3-diketo-5-methylthiopentyl-1-phosphate (DK-MTP-1-P). It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Some HAPIP antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations.
