Anti-p34 ARC antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p34 ARC antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ARPC2 gene, which encodes actin related protein 2/3 complex subunit 2. This protein is reported to be an actin-binding component of the Arp2/3 complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates actin polymerization upon stimulation by nucleation-promoting factor (NPF). The human version of p34 ARC has a canonical amino acid length of 300 residues and a protein mass of 34.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include ARC34, PNAS-139, and PRO2446. Some p34 ARC antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
