Anti-P450AROM antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The P450AROM antigen is another term for the human protein cytochrome P450 family 19 subfamily A member 1, encoded by the CYP19A1 gene. The protein is a cytochrome P450 monooxygenase that catalyzes the conversion of C19 androgens, androst-4-ene-3,17-dione (androstenedione) and testosterone to the C18 estrogens, estrone and estradiol, respectively. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 503 residues and a mass of 57.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and it is reported to be widely expressed including in adult and fetal brain, placenta, skin fibroblasts, adipose tissue and gonads. The P450AROM protein is a member of the Cytochrome P450 protein family. Other alias names for P450AROM include ARO, ARO1, and CPV1. Western Blot is the most common application for the P450AROM antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
