Anti-HDAC antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HDAC antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HDAC9 gene, which encodes histone deacetylase 9. This protein is known to function in B cell differentiation and insulin signaling pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of HDAC has a canonical amino acid length of 1011 residues and a protein mass of 111.3 kilodaltons, although 11 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells. Other names for this target antigen include HD7, HD7b, and HD9.
