Dengue Virus Antibody Products

Dengue virus is a mosquito-borne pathogen responsible for causing dengue fever. The disease affects over 110 countries and the rate of infection has increased 30 fold since the 1960s. Up to 528 million people are infected worldwide. The virus is enveloped, with an icosahedral capsid enclosing a single-stranded RNA genome. 11,000 bases encode for the capsid, membrane, and envelope proteins, as well as seven nonstructural (NS) proteins. Dengue includes at least four serotypes (types 1-4), distinguished by the envelope proteins. A member of the Flavivirus genus, it is closely related to the yellow fever, West Nile, and Zika viruses.
