The AU5 tag is a small peptide epitope comprised of the sequence TDFYLK. This six-peptide sequence is derived from the bovine papillomavirus. It is used in tagging of the N- or C- termini of proteins of interest for immunological analysis. Antibodies against this epitope may be a useful tool in detection of AU5-tagged proteins.
