Glutamine Colorimetric Assay Kit
K556-100
Info:Supplier Page
I have used this glutamine colorimetric assay kit to understand the metabolic reprogramming in virus-infected primary human epithelial cells. After 24 h post-infection, cell supernatant was collected from virus and non-virus-infected cultures and freshly used to estimate its glutamine concentration.
Glutamine quantification in biological samples
Human primary epithelial cells
If possible use freshly collected cell supernatant.
Virus infected cell supernatant showed reduction in glutamine concentration compared to non-infected cells indicating increase in glutamine uptake by cells during viral infection.
N/A
This assay kit can be used for wide variety of samples like plasma, serum, urine, cell and tissue lysate.
Bit expensive.
Easy to use protocol with good sensitivity.
