Off-the-Shelf Coomassie Brilliant Blue Stain From Bio-Rad to Visualize Proteins in SDS Gels

I work with cell wall enzymes that continuously remodel peptidoglycan. One of these enzymes has a dynamically changing turnover rate during the cell cycle. Since I can visualize one of the cell wall enzymes of interest using SDS gels, I investigate turnover changes under various gene knockout conditions in the bacteria. For visualization of SDS gels, I use the convenient QC Colloidal Coomassie Stain.
