We are screening an array of endogenous metabolites found in human serum for bioactivity. Thyroid stimulating hormone and thyroid hormone regulate essential aspects of mammalian physiology. Therefore, one screening condition we have been trying is the production of thyroid-stimulating hormone from a human cell line in vitro. Using this kit, we have found several metabolites able to promote the release of this hormone in cell culture. We are currently validating these results in an animal model. This kit is easy-to-use and gives consistent quality.
