I use SOC Outgrowth Medium to allow my bacteria to recover and give them time to express the antibiotic gene resistance after transformation by heat shock.
Cloning
Stbl3 bacteria
Incubation of 50 µL of transformed Stbl3 bacteria in 200 µL of SOC medium during 1h at 37°C with shaking at 300 rpm.

I obtain a great growth of transformed colonies in my selective agar plates, even when my cloning reaction is a bit tricky.
Good quality.
Usefull to allow freshly transformed E. coli to recover before plating on agar.
