Our research goal is to track the biodistribution of the exosome. We used DiR to stain the exosome as DiR is lipophilic and can incorporate into membranes. DiR-labelled exosomes were injected via tail vein. The 750 nm channel was used to excite DiR, and emission was observed at 800 nm.
Cell membrane labeling and in vivo imaging

Protect from light.
We detected the DiR-labelled exosome using a Small Animal Imaging System. The signal looked great because of the effective transmission of infrared light through cells and tissues and the low level of autofluorescence in the infrared range.
Good signal.
Little expensive.
Has great signal for in vivo imaging. Would buy it again.
