Transwell migration system can be used to study the chemotaxis of immune cells towards stimulus. The meshes from these wells can be stained differentially for nucleus and cytoplasm to identify the type of blood cells which has migrated. nucleus and cytoplasm of neutrophils, monocytes are stained blue and red respectively in 3 step process that takes only 30 seconds.
