I was looking to quantify multiple target genes from the E. coli cells stressed to different stressors using multiplex qPCR assay using TaqMan probe chemistry. I used Agilent's Aria Mx Real Time PCR system which has capability to multiplex up to 5 targets due to its 5 different filter set. I was able to quantify 4 different genes from same sample using 4 different probes in Aria Mx platform and results were satisfactory.
