High-Speed Centrifugation for Nucleic Acid Extraction

Isolation/extracrtion of genomic DNA or plasmid DNA using column based miniprep kits from Promega or New England Biolabs require high speed centrifugation, ideally for volumes 1.5 to 2 ml. Such high speed centrifugation upto 13000 rpm with less than 2 ml volume can be achieved efficiently by using Fiseherbrand accuSpin Microcentrifuges. I routinely use this microcentrifuge for nucleic acid extractions.
