Cells that were subjected to transfection were incubated in Opti-MEM media containing 6.8kb plasmid DNA packed in FuGENE® 6 transfection reagent. After transfection, cells were kept back in complete media for at least 36 hours and analyzed.

The transfection efficiency with FuGENE® 6 transfection reagent was found to be >90 per cent. Moreover, this transfection reagent has shown less cytotoxicity due to membrane damage.
