Thioredoxin is 12 kDA multifunctional porotein. The function of Trx is to provide the reducing power to the enzyme ribonucleotide reductase which is essential for DNA replication. TrxR2 are ubiquitously expressed flavoproteins that catalyze the NADPH-dependent reduction of Trx as well as several other oxidized cellular components. TrxR2 are also involved in the prevention of oxidative stress. Here we checked the time course effect of TrxR2 by chemoattractant.
