In this experiment wild-type (Wt) and knock-out (KO) were bled and serum isolated. An ELISA was performed on the mouse serum to evaluate EGF levels in the serum. We observed a slight decrease in serum EGF levels in our KO mice. However, several of our serum samples had no detectable EGF.

It is expensive; uses pre-coated plates which are nice, but this increases the price

The Bottom Line

This is an easy kit for evaluating EGF levels in mouse serum. It is easy to use with pre-coated plates. However the pre-coated plate convenience increases the cost.
