We currently use the Rotor Gene Q with the Gene Detection System (GDS) from Biocontrol to monitor several E. coli markers. The system is implemented in our microbiology lab. We chose this product because it performs well and was also recommended by Biocontrol.
Gene detection system
After setting up the qPCR kits, the software running the Rotor Gene is fairly user-friendly. The runs are conducted quickly and the analysis is easily read from the software. It would be beneficial if export of results to other formats were easier.
