The MACsQuant10 definitely had a steep learning curve compared to other flow cytometry machines. (Miltenyi Biotech offers a 4-day course to learn the ins and outs which I really benefited from.) However, the MACsQuant10 allows for much more thorough analysis of your sample than any other flow machine I've worked with. There are so many user-controlled options to let you analyze as little or as much as possible. The software and machine let you really mine your sample for all the data possible!

Basic flow cytometry setup. With the MACsQuant, you do need to do voltage and compensation, which the machine has programs that can auto-complete for you making your life easier.

Tips

Use auto-compensation with beads and your secondary antibody. It really saves time and some grey hairs!
