Product Name:

CytoTox-ONE™ Homogeneous Membrane Integrity Assay

Catalog Number:

G7891

Our laboratory works on engineering T cells and stimulating NK cells for enhanced antiviral activity against HIV-infected cells. As such, we set up in vitro killing assays where it is crucial to identify dead target cells. This kit allows detection of LDH release by converting it into a fluorescent product.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Cytotoxicity Assay

Starting Material

HIV infected cells co-incubated with effector cells

Protocol Overview

Follow kit's manual

Tips

Make sure you optimize the time window for the assay. Depending on target cell lines extended incubations can lead to high background

Results Summary

In general kit works, however it is a bit dependent upon target cells used. When we use primary infected cells we get high backgrounds, when we use ACH2 cells (hard to kill) it is difficult to detect cells that are dying.
