The green fluorescent, 3,3′-Dioctadecyloxacarbocyanine perchlorate (Dio) is highly fluorescent and quite photostable when incorporated into membranes. In our Dio stained cell viability study, the fluorescent of Dio were stable for detection for over 48 hours incubation.

Primary cells from blood were incubated with Dio for 15min in dark. Cell were then washed twice to removed extra dye in PBS.

In our Dio stained cell viability study, the fluorescent of Dio were stable for detection for over 48 hours incubation. After indicated time points, Dio stained cells were then incubated with propidium iodide. The cell viability were detected by flow cytometry.
