We used the Oligonucleotide Cleanup protocol to purify RNA contaminated with protein after RNA was extracted from mouse brains using Trizol.

DNA Cleanup Binding Buffer was added to a 50 μl sample. 300 μl of 100% ethanol was added and mixed by pipetting up and down. The sample was added onto the column and spun, discarding the flow-through. DNA Wash Buffer was added to the column and washed 2x. 10 μl of Elution Buffer was added to the column to elute the RNA.

We were able to purify and maintain high yields of RNA.
