Highly Purified Human Neutrophils From Human Blood

We study host-microbe interactions, so we need pure cell populations to understand the specific role of those cells against different human pathogens. Isolation of neutrophils by positive selection carries a risk of changing their phenotype and most importantly, their functional capacity, thus, negative selection is preferred despite higher costs. To perform our studies on bacteria-neutrophil interactions, we want to improve the isolation of pure neutrophils from human blood, to avoid contamination with other leucocytes. This kit use negative selection, so, we decide to test the EasySep™ Direct Human Neutrophil Isolation Kit replace our traditional dextran gradient method.
