Company:

eBioscience™ from Invitrogen Antibodies

Product Name:

CD71 (Transferrin Receptor) Monoclonal Antibody (R17217 (RI7 217.1.4)), PE

Catalog Number:

12-0711-82

We used CD71 and Ter119 staining to look at RBC development in the bone marrow based on the gating strategy previously published in 2011 by Koulnis et.al. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3211121/). This CD71 antibody conjugated to PE worked very well.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Flow Cytometry

Sample

Bone marrow from OT-II mouse, which is CD4 TCR transgenic mouse specific for OVA peptide presented on I-Ab

Primary Incubation

+4C 30 mins

Blocking Agent

Anti-CD16/32

Secondary Incubation

None

Tertiary Incubation

None

Detection

LSR II

Results Summary

Great resolution between CD71 positive and negative cells. We were able to identify 4 distinct populations of RBC and its progenitors based on their CD71 + Ter119 staining and further discriminating these by FSC (size).
