Company:

Santa Cruz

Product Name:

TTP (H-120) antibody

Catalog Number:

sc-14030

Having tested a few TTP antibodies, this one worked the best for staining both mouse and human cells and tissue. There is higher background than with other antibodies, but the signal to noise ratio is still good, and there isn't non-specific binding. This antibody as with other Santa Cruz antibodies has its lot variations, but this one has always worked although sometimes weaker or stronger with new lots.

Results Summary

Antibody works well and shows cytoplasmic localization and P-body staining. Pleased with the results and have had success with mouse and human tissues with similar quality. Only difficulty is with background at times, and the lot variation with santa cruz antibodies.

Summary

The Good

Good antibody to mark P-bodies in cells and tissues

The Bad

Higher background and inconsistent lots

The Bottom Line

This antibody is worth a shot. It works the best of any we have tried for marking TTP in multiple cell and tissue types. Our signal has been strong enough for reproducible results.
