Embedding medium for frozen specimens
Cells or small frozen tissues
Add 1-1.5 ml of O.C.T medium to the frozen tissue during the cryopreservation protocol procedure. O.C.T is used as an embedding medium for frozen tissue.
Remove excess liquid or sucrose from the tissue prior to the addition of O.C.T.
O.C.T allows for optimal cutting temperature by providing a matrix for cryostat sectioning.
