Company:

Thermo Scientific

Product Name:

SuperSignal West Dura Extended Duration Substrate

Catalog Number:

34075

This DURA substrate is a good choice when you need to enhance the sensitivity or duration of the signal for your Western Blotting. The antibody concentration and the exposure time for imaging can be greatly reduced. I have been using this one for more than 6 years and it is better than many other similar products on the market.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Western Blotting

Starting Material

Any PVDF membrane

Protocol Overview

Easy and simple. Just mix the two reagents from the box and incubate your blot for few minutes (though the kit suggests 5 min, I found that 1-2 min is good enough in most of the situations)

Tips

Use lesser antibody or reduce the exposure time to obtain a better result

Results Summary

I always get a very strong signal of protein band in few seconds. Save a lot of time and the antibodies.
