This antibody is the best HIV gag p24 staining antibody for flow cytometry. It is used for intracellular staining of infected primary CD4 T cells as well as cell lines and is hands down the most reliable and reproducible antibodies I have tested. I've used this antibody at least on 40 samples weekly and have never been disappointed with the results. It also is sufficient for HIV-2 and SIV infected cells along with HIV-1 gag.

Results Summary

Primary human CD4 T cells from a heathy donor were left uninfected or infected with HIV-1 virus NL4-3 for 3 days. Cells were stained for CD4 receptor on the surface, permeabilized and stained with 1:100 of Kc57-FITC antibody for 30mins at 4C. Relative to negative control, Kc57-FITC revealed that HIV-1 infection led to 31% of CD4 T cells being infected.
