Company:

eBioscience

Product Name:

Rat IgG2a K Isotype Control FITC

Catalog Number:

11-4321

I use flow cytometry to characterize immune cell populations in the lung and how they change following infection. I chose the antibody because I needed an isotype control and this product was recommended by eBioscience.

Results Summary

Seeing how this is a FITC antibody, I was expecting some background from dead cell or certain immune cells that can auto-fluoresce. I did not receive the cleanest results from this antibody and it is hard to separate all auto-fluorescence from background antibody binding. But overall I believe this antibody had minimal binding and I would use this product again.

Summary

The Good

Easy to use.

The Bad

Hard to separate from auto-fluorescing cells.

The Bottom Line

This is still a good product and I would use it again.
