We are assessing consequences of Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor (AhR) activation in dendritic cells. Specifically for these experiments we were assessing Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor activation in bone marrow derived dendritic cells. Precursor cells are isolated with Lympholyte M from whole bone marrow suspensions and grown in the presence of GM-CSF for 5-7 days. We then use flow cytometry and RT-PCR to assess transcriptional changes in dendritic cells after AhR activation.

Results Summary

The CFX Connect is a excellent detection system. Bio-Rad has made it seamless to use their software to select reagents and optimized settings, order new arrays and upload plate settings/protocols, as well as analyze data. Validated Bio-Rad primers are excellent, I highly recommend them as well.

The automatic lid has refused to open on occasion-unplugging instrument seems to fix it.

I would highly recommend it. The CFX Connect is a compact, affordable and powerful instrument.
