We study different methods of activation and inhibition of B cells. We use a variety of anti-B220 clones and colors in our flow cytometry panels. This anti-B220 antibody gives consistent results, strongly labeling mouse splenic B cells.

Live murine splenocytes, red blood cells lysed
1:1000 dilution of efluor 780 fixable viability dye
1xPBS+2%FBS+2mM EDTA
1:100 dilutions of each: APC anti-mouse CD45R/B220 + Brilliant Violet™ 605 anti-mouse IgD on ice for 10 minutes.

Live mouse splenic B cells stain positive for surface B220, and are largely positive for surface IgD.

Reliable results, easy to distinguish B220+ from B220- cells.
No drawbacks observed.
This is an excellent tool to differentiate B cells from other splenocytes in a widely used color.
