This DTT powder is used to make 1M DTT solutions for use in reducting samples for western blot. The DTT solutions made from this powder reduces proteins and we have not had any problems with it.
Western Blot

Mix powder with water to make 1M solution. Take 1M solution and dilute 1:10 in western blot lysates to reduce proteins.
Filter 1M solution
1M solution appears to have reduced proteins in western blotting lysates.
Makes good DTT solutions
