Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Western Blot

Starting Material

Protocol Overview

Cut out a piece of PVDF that fits your gel from the roll. Rinse it in methanol to "activate" it and then place on top of the protein gel. Transfer proteins onto the gel (I do 300 mA for 90 minutes) and then rinse PVDF with wash buffer. Block and then probe PVDF with antibodies to detect protein of interest.

Tips

Be careful in cutting the PVDF

Results Summary

Proteins attach well to this membrane and it is suitable for western blotting for phospho and non-phospho proteins.
