Our lab's longstanding goal is to unravel new protein biomarkers in cancer and elucidate their functional role in tumorigenesis. Here in this study we evaluate the phosphorylation of ERK 1/2 protein in a colon cancer cell line after treatment with chemotherapeutic drugs. From the results, it can be seen that this antibody specifically detects phosphorylated ERK protein, the expression of which reduces with time. This is a very good antibody to detect phosphorylation of ERK1/2 in cells using Western blotting.
