We were trying to distinguish microglia and astrocytes, by flow cytometry, from mixed glial cultures cultured for 4-6 weeks from pup brains. We used this antibody for flow cytometry of brain and spinal cord samples.

Canto II/Gallios
After having used this antibody on both the BD Canto II and the Beckman Coulter Gallios, I can say it definitely has better peak separation on the Canto. However, it is still usable for experiments on the Gallios. We use it to distinguish the astrocytes from microglia in mixed glial cultures.
