This kit was used to quantify protein from fermentation cultures. RED660 was used due to its claims of improved stability and reproducibility compared to Coomassie/ Bradford assays.
Protein quantification
Sterile filtered fungal supernatants diluted with 50 mM Sodium Acetate (pH 5.0)

We were unable to measure a signal from our culture supernatants using RED660*. Comparatively, Braford Assay worked fine (*Standards appeared to be fine.)
Maybe a bad batch of assay reagent?
Easy to use, short incubation time
Did not work for quantifying protein
Would not buy again until issues are resolved with tech support.
