Primer Design
It is a great pleasure to write review on Integrated DNA technologies which provides qRT-PCR primers. We were screening expression of 500 glyco-genes including glycosyltransferases and mucins in control and drug treated cancer cells. We have used IDT's SciTools to design our qRT-PCR primers. Same tool can also be used to check primer parameters such as GC content, melting temperature, amplicon size etc. We are very satisfied with the way IDT provides primers. Lab-ready primers can also be ordered with 100 mM concentration.
Basically our lab is working on glycosyltransferase enzymes. Quantitative expression of these genes are very important as they involved in the synthesis of various glycans occured on both normal and cancerous cells. Thus it is very important to have good/specific primers in order to analyse gene expression which were supplied by this company (IDT).
