I use this apparatus to transfer proteins from SDS-PAGE gels to PVDF membranes for immunoblotting.

We work on DNA damage pathways in our lab. This involves running a lot of gels for immunoblotting. The Biorad transfer apparatus is easy to use and one gets a very uniform and effecient transfer of proteins to PVDF membranes. That is why I chose to use this apparatus.
