I am interested in the biology of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), a high grade aggressive lymphoma. Over-expression of Myc, detected by IHC, has been associated with prognosis in DLBCL and may help identify patients with more aggressive disease who may benefit from more intensified therapies. I have used the c-Myc Y69 antibody to successfully measure expression of Myc in a cohort of >100 DLBCL formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue (FFPET) samples.

The staining is specific and intense and can be readily quantified by an experienced histopathologist.
The antibody was used in conjunctionw ith the Ventana automated benchmark system and the Ultraview Universal DAB detection kit. A extended CC1 antigen retrieval was employed and the Ventana amplification kit was incorporated into the protocol.
