Eppendorf InjectMan® NI 2, manipulator for semiautomatic microinjection into adherent cells and serial microinjection into fish larvae, insect embryos, etc. Dynamic control, menu-controlled programming.
  • Catalog Number: 920000029
  • Description: A menu-controlled, programmable micromanipulator, the InjectMan NI 2 is especially suitable for microinjection into adherent cells. The electronic connection of the InjectMan NI 2 and the FemtoJet®2 or FemtoJet express ensures a very rapid and safe microinjection. The semiautomatic microinjection allows a coordinated process of manipulation and injection: first, the injection parameter is set on the FemtoJet; second, the injection level is fixed via pressing a button on the InjectMan NI 2. The exact axial injection movement ensures a minimum mortality rate, and its high speed facilitates the penetration of rigid structures. Semiautomatic microinjection into adherent cells

The electronic coupling of the InjectMan NI 2 with the FemtoJet makes microinjection into adherent cells possible. This semiautomatic sequence of manipulation and injection occurs first by programming the injection parameters on the FemtoJet and then establishing the injection level (Z-limit) by pressing a button on the InjectMan NI 2.

By activating the joystick key, the patented axial injection movement of the capillary and the programmed pressure increase can be simultaneously triggered on the FemtoJet. Following the preset injection time, the pressure decreases in the capillary and is triggered simultaneously with the movement of the capillary back to its starting position. Thus, the capillary tip serves as a “pointer” for the target location in the cell, and the exact axial injection movement secures the highest survival rate.* With the help of this technology, it is now possible to process more than 40 cells per minute simply, efficiently and reproducibly.

DC3K Motorized Micromanipulator, LH
  • Catalog Number: 55340
  • Description: The DC3-K motorized micromanipulator provides remote controlled, vibration-free fine travel, plus coarse drives, in all 3 dimensions. The remote control provides stability suitable for patch clamping. Convenient features include a swivel up hinge on the probe motor to allow it to be tilted up to 90° and locked securely in place. The probe holder may be swung out to the side to change pipettes and returned to precisely the original position. Stoelting provides these micromanipulators with shielded cables, an acrylic probe holder, and joystick or push button controller.
Three Dimensional Joystick Controller The joystick controller allows control of the micromanipulator movements in the X, Y, and Z axes simultaneously. Speed of movement is regulated by the degree of displacement of the joystick from the center "null" position. The vertical (Z) drive is controlled by rotating the knob on the joystick. Manipulator movements are lag-free. The micrometers are graduated in 10 micron increments, movements of 2 or 3 microns can be controlled under visual guidance through a microscope.
Push Button Controller Single "steps" from .50 microns to 10 microns can be executed with the push button controller. The push button controller has 6 buttons, one each for forward and reverse in each of the 3 axes. A touch of the button triggers a step of the preset size. Holding the button down for over a second produces continuous smooth movement at a preset speed. A unique feature of this controller is the electronic backlash compensation. When the direction of movement is reversed, a compensatory pulse of preset size corrects for lost motion. A handheld remote control accessory unit (55315) is available to operate one axis at a time from a distant location.
The product number listed is for the push-button system. For the Joystick system, add "-3" to the end of the product number. This system also available in a 220V model for the same price; simply add a "V" to the end of the product number. For instance, 55335-3V would be a 220V RH joystick model. MP-225 Motorized Micromanipulator

MP-225 Motorized Micromanipulator

Sutter Instrument Company

  • Catalog Number:
  • Description: The MP-225 is one of the newer members in the Sutter Instrument micromanipulator line. Production and design changes have allowed Sutter to produce a motorized manipulator that is a more affordable alternative to the industry standard MP-285. While the MP-225 feature set is less comprehensive than the MP-285, it includes the most popular features with a user interface that is simpler to use. The mechanical design utilizes a miniature stepper motor and integral anti-backlash gear head. Pre-loaded ball bearing slides provide smooth movement throughout the 25mm of travel. The controller uses low-noise, linear-drive output circuitry identical to that found in the MP-285. The methodology for mounting pipette holders and headstages used with the MP-285 has been maintained in the MP-225 to allow for cross compatibility.

MP-265/MPC-365 Narrow Format Manipulator System
  • Catalog Number:
  • Description: New MP-265/M "narrow format" mechanical is designed especially for patch-slice manipulator systems that require more than 2 or 3 pipettes. Coupled with multi-manipulator controller, MPC-200, users have the ability to easily build up multi-manipulator MPC-365 systems for positioning multiple recording and stimulating pipettes.
The MP265/M mechanical builds on our existing manipulator line in several ways. First, narrow format means more manipulators can be grouped around a recording chamber. A long throw (25 mm) radial X-axis provides an easier approach to and from the optical center. Finally, travel in the Y-axis is shortened (12.5 mm) to economize on width, which is made possible because radially oriented manipulators do not require long travel in this axis.

XenoWorks Micromanipulator

XenoWorks Micromanipulator

Sutter Instrument Company

  • Catalog Number:
  • Description: The XenoWorks Micromanipulator has been designed around our hugely-successful MP-285 electrophysiology micromanipulator, with the addition of a smooth-moving adjustable inverted joystick. Because the motor drive is based on an electrophysiology design, the XenoWorks Micromanipulator is extremely stable and resistant to ambient vibration. This stability also makes this manipulator an ideal platform for use in conjunction with the PrimeTech PMM-150FU piezo impact drive for applications such as mouse nuclear transfer and intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
