Cell Lysate

Cell lysate products are available from different reagent suppliers for use in research applications, such as immunoblotting, cell culture, and biochemical assays. Lysates are extracted from whole cells, which contain membrane, cytoplasmic and nuclear proteins and extracts. Cell lysates can be prepared for specific attributes, such as subcellular compartments, cell lines, cell types, overexpressed proteins, or gene knockouts. They can be used in the purification or analysis of subcellular components, whole organelles, cellular proteins, and nucleic acids. Cell line lysates are also used in antibody reactivity studies using ELISA and Western blots.
