Description

Product Characteristics:
ADCK4, AarF domain containing kinase 5, is a member of group i collagen (fibrillar forming collagen). The function of this protein is not yet clear. It is not known if it has protein kinase activity and what type of substrate it would phosphorylate (Ser, Thr or Tyr). There are 2 named isoforms produced by alternative splicing.

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm, Cell membrane

Synonyms: aarF domain containing protein kinase 4, Uncharacterized aarF domain containing protein kinase 4, ADCK4_HUMAN.

Target Information: This gene encodes a protein with two copies of a domain found in protein kinases. The encoded protein has a complete protein kinase catalytic domain, and a truncated domain that contains only the active and binding sites of the protein kinase domain, however, it is not known whether the protein has any kinase activity. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]
