Fig 1: Effects of treatment with CL-A on the amount and serine phosphorylation state of glycogen synthase kinase-3a (GSK-3a) in cryopreserved bovine spermatozoa. Washed spermatozoa were treated with CL-A (10 nM) in the presence of cBiMPS (100 µM) and BSA (4 mg/ml) for 60 min. Before and after treatment with 10 nM CL-A, aliquots of the sperm samples were used for Western blotting with the anti-GSK-3a antibody and anti-serine phosphorylated-GSK-3 (at serine 9 of GSK-3ß and serine 21 of GSK-3a) antibody and subsequently for CBB staining. The results of CBB staining verified that the sperm samples were loaded equally on each lane of the gel.
