Mice were fed either a high-calcium, high-phosphorus rescue diet (R) or a control diet (C) for 26 weeks. Relative mRNA expression of Ren1 and Atp6ap2 in the kidney as well as the serum renin concentration and activity were measured at the end of the feeding period at the age of 34 weeks. Blood pressure and heart rate were measured at the age of 28–30 weeks. Values are shown as individual data (°) and means (-) (n = 14). Data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).
