Anti-SEC22B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SEC22 homolog B, vesicle trafficking protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 215 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and Golgi. A member of the Synaptobrevin protein family, SEC22B is known to be involved with Golgi transport and protein transport. Synonyms for this target antigen include SEC22L1, vesicle-trafficking protein SEC22b, ER-Golgi SNARE of 24 kDa, SEC22 vesicle trafficking protein homolog B, SEC22 vesicle trafficking protein-like 1, and ERS-24. SEC22B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chicken species. A number of SEC22B antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
